Perkins Eastman Recognizes Top Talent with 2024 Promotions

Global design firm Perkins Eastman announced the promotions of 80 members of its staff this year. Each of these individuals has made significant contributions to the firm, and it is an honor to recognize their collective hard work, inventiveness, and talent.

Perkins Eastman recognized the following individuals who have been promoted to the roles of Associate Principal and Principal:

  • Associate Principal Steve Bernstein, AIA, LEED AP, leverages more than 25 years of experience with a knack for leading insightful user groups and community meetings, as well as consulting with federal, state, and local agencies, to deliver sustainable, high-quality institutional projects.
  • Associate Principal Tania Gonzalez is a skilled project architect and medical planner with more than 20 years of experience who plans and designs large-scale healthcare facilities that advance the efficiency and usefulness of the built environment.
  • Associate Principal Dan Hartenstine, LEED AP, with nearly 30 years of dedicated experience, is co-leader of Studio 12 in the firm’s New York office and an expert in project management and relationship-building, successfully leading teams across a wide range of practice areas, including mixed-use, workplace, college & university, science & technology, commercial, and multi-purpose performance venues.
  • Associate Principal Jana Isaac, LEED Green Associate, brings more than 12 years of experience to her role as architect, project manager, and BIM manager, designing innovative environments that blend form and function harmoniously for hospitality, residential, large-scale, and healthcare clients.
  • Principal Heather Jauregui, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, LEED AP O+M, CPHC, serves as Perkins Eastman’s steadfast Director of Sustainability, thanks to her passion for research and architecture and 12 years of experience. She acts as both a firmwide resource and an internal consultant on key projects in her efforts to propel the industry toward a more sustainable future.
  • Principal Jessica Knapp balances 20 years of professional experience with a strategic, quick-thinking mindset to her role as co-managing principal of Perkins Eastman’s Boston studio and in her integral work handling marketing and business development for the firm.
  • Associate Principal Gordon Lee, LEED Green Associate, brings 16 years of dedicated experience and a holistic design approach to hotel, resort, and wellness-focused projects at ForrestPerkins, a distinct design studio of Perkins Eastman.
  • Associate Principal Anne Lissett, LEED AP BD+C, brings her passion for design excellence, social equity, and sustainable design, along with more than 20 years of architecture and design expertise, to grow the portfolio of the firm’s Vancouver studio with family-friendly and affordable senior housing.
  • Associate Principal Sarah Mechling, who has been with Perkins Eastman for 22 years, leads the firm’s Visual Assets department, working to create and curate high-quality images that bring its “Human by Design” spirit to life.
  • Principal Andrew Ostrander, AIA, serves as co-managing principal of the firm’s Stamford studio, utilizing nearly 20 years of experience to develop a wide-ranging portfolio that spans multi-family residential, workplace, K-12 education, higher education, luxury single family homes, senior living, and commercial projects.
  • Associate Principal Manjiri Paprikar, AIA, LEED AP, blends 18 years of healthcare architecture and design experience with a strong interest in medical space programming and master planning and significant expertise in data and predictive analytics, facility planning, and phasing to design spaces that enhance the user experience.
  • Principal JinHwa (Gina) Paradowicz, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, applies a research-based design approach, along with 25 years of experience and thought leadership, to develop creative, sustainable, and placemaking solutions for senior living, residential, healthcare, hospitality, and mixed-use clients.
  • Associate Principal Michael Parker, AIA, LEED AP, combines a talent for developing and maintaining client relationships, a collaborative spirit, and nearly 30 years of experience to create a portfolio that spans urban infill, mixed-use, residential, retail, K-12 education, and higher education projects.
  • Principal Stephen Penhoet, LEED AP, brings 35 years of experience to his strong, client-focused design leadership of large-scale hospitality, college & university, commercial mixed-use, residential, senior living, and healthcare projects for both domestic and international clients.
  • Principal Tania Phillips, AIA, leads the Healthcare and Senior Living practice areas in the firm’s Mumbai studio with 20 years of international design experience, a background in health systems planning and design, and a passion for creating spaces that boost user health and well-being.
  • Associate Principal Emily Pope, with 25 years of experience, employs a love for storytelling, a distinct ability to build strong relationships with her teams, clients, and industry partners, and an indomitable spirit to her integral role as a co-leader of the firm’s College & University practice.
  • Associate Principal Matthew Seybert, AIA, LEED AP, crafts innovative and sustainable solutions to complex urban challenges, resulting in designs that revitalize waterfront, campus, and urban environments across the world, thanks to 18 years of professional experience.
  • Associate Principal Carl Zaccardelli is an accomplished technical architect with more than 25 years of experience in technical design delivery and the management of projects and contracts who employs an open-dialogue approach to seeing a project through from inception to completion.

Recognizing Our Senior Associates and Associates

Perkins Eastman also celebrates the hard-earned promotions of 27 individuals to Senior Associates.
